When the Apostle Paul wrote his letter to the Corinthians he was instructing them about issues going on in the church that he had heard about as well as answering questions that they had.
In the book of 1 Corinthians, there are several times when Paul is seen addressing another issue or question. These are marked by the phrase “Now concerning…”

• Now Concerning marriage… (chapter 7)
• Now Concerning food sacrificed to idols… (chapter 8)
• Now Concerning spiritual gifts…(chapter 12)
• Now Concerning the collection for the Lord’s people… (chapter 16)

In the same manner, “Now Concerning…” addresses issues and questions in our church and culture and provides a biblical response.
